The Maori used Pohutukawa bark and nectar in traditional medicines, to cure dysentery, stop bleeding and remedy coughs and colds. Pohutukawa Honey has a pale colour, but quite distinct (buttery) flavour and it is sweet, with a wonderful, subtle, salty taste. One of the most popular honey among New Zealanders.
